Bellies to Babies Foundation is a partner of the Fulton-Dekalb Hospital Authority since 2015. The FDHA has assisted Bellies to Babies in meeting our goals to serve the high-risk community and through community outreach to provide preventative healthcare education to families.
The Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority has served the indigent residents of Fulton and DeKalb counties for over 72 years, dating back to World War II. The FDHA promotes general healthcare needs by providing grants to community-based health organizations, hosting or sponsoring health events and advocating for responsive healthcare policy for indigent citizens in the State of Georgia.
Grady Memorial Hospital Corporation was created through the FDHA. Grady Health System was leased to the “Corporation” to facilitate daily operations. The FDHA maintains oversight for the Grady Health System. We focus on overseeing operations of Grady Memorial Hospital and promoting the general health of the community.
The FDHA fosters comprehensive health care initiatives in the greater Atlanta community through agency-to-agency collaboration, solid corporate relationships and effective community outreach campaigns. Governed by a ten member Board of Trustees appointed by the commissioners of Fulton and DeKalb counties, the Authority is committed to working to meet the healthcare needs of the residents of Fulton and DeKalb counties and provide quality health care.
